Dealing with the lost of your beta fish.

Hello Beta lovers,

I know how much you love your little friend. Afterall, we even went as far as to give them and name but the hardest thing is when you notice your beta is sick and your options are few.

I lost my beta last week and it was a disappointing time. No, I did cry are anything but I just had that funny feeling that this wasn't suppose to happen. What did I do wrong. Why didn't I do this or that. You know, guilt.

Well, I'm not along and neither or you. I came across another posting of a beta owner that happen to lose their fish and I would like to share the story.

I believe the main thing is, it happens. Sad but true.

The average life of a betta is 2 to 3 years and that's a long time for them. I just recently read that they maybe around 1 years old already in the pet stores, (that was disappointing, I just thought they were younger)

Plus, the article I read also said that most beta's in the pet shop are probably over stressed. Man, that's really disappointing...anyhow, let me share this story with you.

The happily ever after, Delilah. . ...

I thought it was a touching article. Afterall, I experience something similar. The best advice I can give when it comes to all aspects of beta fish care is to consult this ebook I found that even covers what to do in this kind of situation. How to tell you kids everything.

Betta vase?
by WalkerHall

How often do I clean my Betta vase?Cleaning your vase once every 2 weeks is necessary for a healthy environment. You may clean your vase more often if the water becomes cloudy from decaying roots or uneaten food. Never let your vase go without cleaning for more than 1 month, you are putting your fish at risk because the PH level in the water may be too high and lowering it suddenly with fresh water could put an unnecessary strain on your Betta. Well, I don't know about you but you should clean your tank or vase as often as needed.  You can look
at your betta and he/she will sometime let you know when it's time for a cleanup.  Otherwise, based upon all accounts, 1 per week should do..   Don't over feed him and that will assist with the cleaning issue.
